Tuition & Aid
Tuition for the Penn State Smeal Hybrid MAAIBT program is based on the University's annual in-state and out-of-state graduate rates, divided by the program's total number of credits required to graduate (30 credits). For the 2025-26 academic year, estimated tuition is $940.00 per credit for in-state students and $1,655.00 per credit for out-of state students.
Each fall/spring semester there is a $30 Smeal student fee. The University student fee varies by the number of credits taken. Please visit the website for more information: https://tuition.psu.edu/2025-26-student-initiated-fee-semester.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to accept an offer of admission to the program. This deposit will be credited toward your fall tuition payment.
Financial Support
Merit scholarships are available for admitted students. All applicants are automatically considered for funding, and there is no additional application necessary. For full consideration, candidates should apply by the third-round deadline. If you have additional questions, please contact the admissions team at hybridai@smeal.psu.edu.
In-Person Residency
Attendance is required for a two-and-a-half-day in-person residency at the start of each semester at Penn State's University Park campus. During these kickoff residencies, students will have the opportunity to network with faculty, staff, and peers.
Students are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and associated costs. To explore accommodations, visit the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau website.
Global Immersion
Hybrid MAAIBT students have a unique opportunity to enjoy a global perspective on business through global immersion experiences. Visit an international destination identified as a “developing economy” and to learn more about that country’s economical, cultural, and business landscape. The trip will include on-site business visits facilitated by company executives from various industries, educational activities and assignments, cultural and tourist activities, and free time to explore.
Participation in Global Immersion is optional. Global Immersion is offered in Spring semesters only. The trip usually takes place during the week before Penn State’s Spring Break. Participation involves one week of travel outside the US and additional student expenses beyond tuition.
